Stasney's Cook Ranch is a 25,000-acre working cattle ranch near Albany in Shackelford County, Texas.   Stasney's Cook Ranch also has leased the hunting rights on the Dawson-Conway Ranch which is adjacent to Stasney's Cook Ranch.  The Dawson-Conway ranch adds about 14,500 of  wildlife habitat to our management area.   Hunt Whitetail Deer, Quail, Wild Boar, Dove, Rio Grande Turkeys, Waterfowl or predators while you enjoy being pampered in the evenings in the spacious lodge at headquarters. Notice:   All hunts are subject to availability.  The following prices for the year 2004 may be changed at any time without notice.   All hunters must execute a release in the form provided by Stasney's Cook Ranch and possess a valid Texas hunting license. Click here for Texas hunting license fees for 2004-2005.  All game laws and limits are strictly followed.  A 50% non-refundable deposit is required on all hunts. Hunts cancelled 30 days or less from start of hunt will not be allowed a refund.  No hunt is reserved or booked until the deposit has been received.  No alcohol beverages will be allowed while hunting.  Guided hunters shall not chamber a round until the guide advises them to do so.  Hunters must possess and carry a valid Texas hunting license and  abide by the game laws of Texas, the U.S. and the rules of the ranch.  All hunters are expected to remove all shell casings, cans, trash, and debris from the Ranch.

WILD QUAIL HUNTS

Hunts are conducted with first class dogs from custom equipped vehicles.  Knowledgeable guides take up to three hunters each.  All meals and lodging are included.  A sporting clay course is available for guests to enjoy and brush up their skills. The price is $600.00 per person, per day based on three hunters per guide.  One, two, and three-day packages are available.

Hunts begin at noon on day one and end at noon on day four. All meals and lodging are included. Knowledgeable guides take up to two hunters each. Hunter success is near 100% on quality mature bucks. The gross Boone & Crockett scores range from 130-170 points. The ranch is under an intensive management program.  Cost of the hunt is $4000.00 per person. Bookings for hunts are very limited. Deposits are required on hunts.

WHITETAIL DEER MANAGEMENT BUCK – The management hunt consists of all the amenities of the whitetail hunt with the exception that you are allowed to harvest one mature buck up to 8 points and up to 125BC.  The second deer will be a spike. The Game Manager makes the decision about which bucks are harvested. The price of the management hunt is $2750.00.

One-day guided boar hunts are offered year round. Boar hunts do not include meals or lodging. Near 100% success on wild boar hunts. The cost of the hunt is $350.00 per person per day. Pricing information for lodging and meals. 

Afternoon hunts:  $50.00 per gun - no meals or lodging. $175.00 per gun includes lodging; $275.00* per gun includes meals and lodging (minimum 5 persons).  Hunts are in sunflower fields or around tanks. Call for availability.

Three day hunting package includes meals, lodging and guide service. Up to 2 Gobblers may be harvested. The #3 Non-Typical Rio Grande turkey was taken on Stasney's Cook Ranch. At the time he was harvested he was the World Record. Cost is $1250.00 per person for up to 2 Gobblers.

Each hunter must execute a release in the form provided by Stasney's Cook Ranch (see below), have a valid Texas Hunting License and obey all game laws and limits.
