Stasney's
Cook Ranch and the Dawson-Conway Ranch are managed intensively.
Our full-time wildlife manager, Johnnie Hudman, is one of the most
experienced wildlife managers in the region.

ultimate Texas deer hunting experience - a pure hunt for quality
whitetails. Great bucks thrive in the dense brush and wide open spaces of
this scenic ranch cut from the Old West style. On a given morning, you'll
experience the heart-pounding thrill of a buck charging to the rattling
horns and skidding to a stop at point blank range. The same day can
produce the excitement of glassing a trophy animal far across an open
flat, then making a successful stalk. This ranch has it all. The
accommodations are historic, the food is fabulous and the hospitality is

Hunts begin at noon on day one and end
at noon on day four. All meals and lodging are included. Knowledgeable
guides take two hunters each. Success on quality mature buck hunts has
been very high. The gross Boone & Crockett scores range
from 130-170 points. The Ranch is under an intensive management
program and deer numbers are high. Bookings for hunts are very limited;
therefore, it is best to call as far in advance as possible. |

Hunts are conducted with first-class dogs from custom-equipped vehicles. Prices are based on three hunters per guide. Hunts offered are 1-day, 2-day, and 3-day packages. A 13-station Sporting Clay course is also available for our guests to enjoy. Pricing information.

Chukar hunts can be conducted almost year round. Hunt chukar in conjunction with our other hunting packages or book a separate hunt. Bring your dogs or we can furnish dogs and guides. Call for pricing and availability. |

The turkey hunt package is 3 days and includes meals,
lodging and guide service. Up to 2 gobblers may be harvested.
The #3 Non-Typical Rio Grande Turkey was taken on Stasney's Cook
Ranch. At the time he was harvested, he was the World Record.
Success on Rio Grande Turkey hunts has been very high.
